Celebrating the Life and Legacy of Mrs. Marguerite Alana Domville

The CARICOM Regional Organisation for Standards & Quality (CROSQ) joins the regional quality community in mourning the passing of Mrs. Marguerite Alana Domville.

Through her work with the Bureau of Standards Jamaica and the Jamaica National Agency for Accreditation, Mrs. Domville made outstanding contributions to shaping the national packaging industry and strengthening quality infrastructure in Jamaica and the region. Her dedication to standards, accreditation, and consumer protection has left a lasting legacy across CARICOM.

A Life Well Lived

For CROSQ’s CEO, Dr Sharronmae S. Walker, Marguerite was her mentor and character referee. She notes that it was a privilege following in her huge footprints as CEO of JANAAC. Marguerite’s pride and joy as JANAAC realised each new milestone showed how vested she was in national and regional development. She remained hopeful even as she shared that her illness had taken a new twist; Dr Walker remembers their special prayer sessions. Marguerite loved Jesus, and for that we give thanks!

The Council, Management and Staff of CROSQ pay tribute to Mrs. Domville as a colleague, mentor, and a pioneer in regional accreditation and quality. We express our deepest condolences to her husband, children, extended family and many colleagues and friends whose lives she touched.

Her legacy will endure in the systems she helped build, the standards she championed and the people she inspired. We remain grateful for her life of service!
