The Dominica Bureau of Standards (DBOS) National Certification Unit (NCU) is the organization’s arm responsible for ensuring that people, products, materials, systems or services conform to specific standards and other relevant requirements including technical regulations.

The NCU was established in 2019 for the purpose of overseeing the Biodegradable Certification Scheme and to facilitate the Dominica’s National Farm Certification programme – Dominica Good Agricultural Practices (DOM-GAP).

Since then, the NCU has expanded its scope to include three additional schemes/ programmes, namely Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) Recognition Certification Scheme, Certificate of Free Sale Program and Dominica National Packing-house Certification Scheme.
